Collaborative

A learning collaborative to create champions in the lives of children and families.

You’re not only up to the challenge, you’re more than qualified to handle what work is throwing at you and the children and families you work with (with a little help and guidance)

You're ready to show up as a helper, healer or educator in the lives of children. You were meant to do this!

Welcome to our community of connected, compassionate professionals who want to create meaningful changes and impact the lives of children and families. We believe that relationships and connection build resilience.

You've come to the       place

If you’re looking for a place to find purpose, create meaning, and respond with practical tools that build buffering forces for what families face, this is the community for you! Here, we will create a village of support. It's where we’ll nourish each other with resources and guidance. Only then can we help children and families.

You want to do more - but you've noticed the complexity of children's behavior. And you can't do everything. You LOVE working with children and their families, but sometimes it's tough and stressful. Or, maybe you're feeling downright overwhelmed.

Friends, we have to fill up your cup before we can do that for those you work with. That's exactly what we do here in The Connected Collaborative.

You can be part of a transformation. You can join a community of like-minded professionals dedicated to being trauma-informed champions for children. But you have to have tools and people to rely on - that's where we come in!

  • You don't have to be a therapist!
  • Talking about trauma and creating resilience does NOT mean opening a big can of worms.
  • Being a champion for kids and increasing their internal capacity for relationships and social-emotional health IS possible. Being in a trauma-informed community helps!

After all, who has time to figure all of this out on their own?

Houston, we have a problem…

Right

Often, after coming to a conference of mine, attending a keynote, or beginning this work of building resilience, professionals who work with children and families bring up two barriers: TIME AND PRACTICE IMPLEMENTATION.

Well, welcome to The ConnectEd Collaborative. This is the space where we make time and practice implementing, together. After all, we all need a village and a community of like-minded peers. We need a space where we can bring vulnerable questions and get practical answers and tangible guidance. In our learning collaboratives we talk about topics like:

  • The Art of Listening
  • Professional burnout
  • Supporting parents who've experienced trauma
  • Suicide prevention and intervention
  • Preventing secondary traumatic stress
  • Avoiding re-traumatization
  • Self-compassion for professionals
  • And so much more!

First and foremost, The Connected Collaboratiave is a place to show up, just as you are, and be part of a village of healers and helpers. Feel heard, be held, share stories, and begin to heal as you unlearn and relearn ways to shift towards healing yourself and helping others.

Then, we create hope and build resilience through learning practical buffering tools to mitigate trauma and adversity that the children and families we work with face. In this space, you’ll feel less burned out and overwhelmed as you dig into more purposeful work. This truly is: The Most Important Medicine! And this is a space where we build connections through relational health. For ourselves first, and then for those we work with. Only then can you help others. And, you’ll always have this village to return to.

THIS IS THE

ConnectEd

Collaborative

As a member of The ConnectEd Collaborative, you will have access to a range of valuable benefits. One of the highlights is our monthly virtual meetings, where we come together to address questions, provide resources, and foster a sense of community with Dr. Amy and her team. These meetings serve as a platform to explore ways to build resilience and network with other professionals.

Additionally, your membership includes exclusive access to our online membership portal. This comprehensive resource hub offers a wealth of valuable materials at your finger tips, including PDFs, videos, and recordings. With just a few clicks, you will unlock a treasure trove of materials that will enhance your professional journey and support your work with children and families.

So, how does this

work?

WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY...

"Thank you for providing such a safe and accepting space for us to continue to bring our whole person to our interactions and our lives. I do believe this will be one of those seminal moments all of us will grow from, and make further commitments in support of each other."

SEMINAL MOMENTS

“I was at the point in my practice, after 15 years, where I realized I would never get any better at taking care of asthma, or treating an ear infection. And then, for the first time in a long time, I realized that I was going to be a better pediatrician because of this training and the resilience-building discussions I was having with patients and families.”

A BETTER PEDIATRICIAN

"Thank you for filling my cup, giving me space to care a bit for myself and feel ready and excited to share with staff and patients. It was a wonderful group of participants and I loved getting your pearls, wisdom and encouragement."
