ACEs and Resilience
Resilience is the ability to overcome challenges and to be strengthened, not defeated, in the process. Resilience has been proven to mitigate the effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). My passion is to provide the tools that families and systems need to optimize their resilience and overcome adversity throughout life.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to partner with the Children’s Health Alliance to train pediatricians, care teams, and families on the impact of childhood trauma and strategies for building resilience. As well, I have worked with schools, law enforcement agencies, and legal sectors to become trauma-informed and utilize strategies to build resilience.
